Every year about this time, I start to drool over the holiday cards on Shutterfly and I dream about getting a professional family portrait taken and being witty for a full page of a family newsletter. That particular dream has never come true. In fact, I don't think I sent out cards at all last year, since that was right about the time that THE WORST YEAR OF MY LIFE was starting. It's over now (I say, definitively, hoping to ward off any other bad things), and I am once again salivating over the holiday photo cards at Shutterfly. This year, I am actually going to do it. I have already scheduled the family photo session. Now all I have to do is choose a card.
In the Christmas cards section of Shutterfly, I was immediately sold on the folded greeting cards. There are tons of designs that I like, some with a single photo, some with multiple photos, and all with space inside for a pre-printed greeting of my choosing. That's what sold me. I don't need to write out something on every card I send out (they all end up sounding the same anyway), and I don't need to create a long, boring newsletter. I will probably wait until I get the pictures from our photo session before making a final decision, but these are my favorites.
With Love Chartreuse 5x7 folded card
This card is classy and allows for multiple photos. The inside template has room for one large photo and a message.
Joy Sage Story Christmas 5x7 folded card
This one is classy as well. It only has room for one picture on the front, but the inside template has room for six smaller pictures.
Top Ten Moments Christmas Card
This one isn't a folded card, but I thought it was cute the way it combined photos and a bit of a newsletter. I was thinking this one would work if we only put pictures of the kids and made the list about them.
